Transform your facility with high-performance laboratory environments engineered for precision. At American Mortuary Equipment, we specialize in Anatomy Lab and Histology Lab design, providing fully customizable, heavy-duty benching systems. Proudly manufactured in Johnson City, TN, our systems are built to withstand the rigorous chemical and biological demands of medical research, university mortuary science programs, and forensic pathology centers.

Whether you require a medical-grade 304 Stainless Steel finish for maximum decontamination or a custom Powder Coated finish in any color to match your university branding, we provide the structural integrity and aesthetic flexibility your project demands.

Countertop Options: Chemical & Heat Resistance

Choose the work surface specifically engineered for your lab’s chemical profile:

  • Phenolic Resin: 0.5" to 1.18" thickness. Ideal for high chemical resistance with durable edge banding.

  • Epoxy Resin: 0.6" to 1" thickness. The gold standard for heat and chemical durability in histology labs.

  • 304 Stainless Steel: Custom fabricated for anatomy labs requiring frequent washdowns and sterile conditions.

  • Ceramic & Trespa: Ultra-hard surfaces available in various thicknesses for specialized testing environments.

  • Natural Stone: Granite or Marble options (0.78") available for specific high-stability applications.

Precision Cabinetry & Structural Framework

Our modular frames are designed for heavy weight-bearing capacity and long-term stability.

  • Industrial Frame: Constructed with 1.57" x 2.36" x 0.06" thick high-quality cold-rolled rectangular steel tubing. Surfaces are phosphated and finished with an electrostatic epoxy resin powder coating, cured at 220°C for a smooth, impenetrable finish.

  • Steel Cabinet Units: Built from 1.0mm full-thickness cold-roll steel. Doors feature double-layer construction filled with sound-insulating material for a quiet, professional lab environment.

  • Hardware: Equipped with DTC 16-inch three-section silent rails and DTC 105°/175° buffer hinges (Stainless Steel hinges available).
