Refrigeration System Options

This freezer comes standard with our recommended remote refrigeration system. For facilities with specific needs, an optional Drop-In self-contained unit is also available.

  • Standard: Remote Refrigeration System (Included) This is our recommended system for achieving and maintaining sub-zero temperatures efficiently in a high-capacity unit. The "split" design places the heat-generating condenser unit separately from the freezer, keeping heat and noise outside your workspace. The remote condenser can be installed on the roof of the box, on the roof of your building, or in a basement. To ensure peak performance and safety, all remote refrigeration systems must be installed by a certified professional.

  • Optional: Drop-In Self-Contained Unit For facilities seeking a simpler installation, we offer an all-in-one Drop-In unit. This system mounts directly on the freezer's ceiling panel. It is only suitable for climate-controlled rooms where the ambient temperature will never exceed 80°F. Please note: selecting this option will add 30 inches to the overall height of the freezer. FAQ – 10x20 Walk-In Freezer

  • What is the difference between this freezer and a cooler? A freezer is designed for long-term preservation at sub-zero temperatures (typically 0°F to -10°F), while a cooler maintains temperatures just above freezing. This freezer's 5-inch insulation is specifically for maintaining these colder temperatures.

  • Is an access ramp included? An anti-slip ramp is a recommended optional add-on for this model, as the included floor is designed to be flush with the existing ground level.

  • What refrigeration brands do you recommend? Standard models include industry-leading Russell or Heatcraft refrigeration systems for proven reliability with our freezer boxes.

  • Can I customize racking? Absolutely. We offer a full range of modular and fixed racking systems to maximize your storage capacity for long-term preservation.

Installation Notes

  • Ships flat-packed for easy delivery through standard doorways.

  • Must be installed on a level concrete surface.

  • All refrigeration and electrical work must be performed by licensed professionals.

  • Freight delivery requires forklift unloading and inspection before signing receipt.
