Important — Read Before Startup: 2026 Packaged Refrigeration System
Due to the changing refrigerant models under new Freon regulations and updated guidelines, it is critical that you completely read all startup instructions before using your packaged refrigeration system. Please be sure you understand your startup settings and the proper overflow and humidity drainage ports, which require hose adapters.
Condensation Drain Requirement
All 2026 Heatcraft compressors require a drain hose attached to the drain port for condensation, to maximize energy efficiency. Connect the supplied drain line to the drain port before startup.
External Drain Connection
In high-humidity environments or during continuous heavy run-times, the unit may experience overflow. To prevent this, the indoor unit is equipped with a 3/4″ NPT external drain connection that can be routed to an external drain line or a field-supplied condensate pump.
Internal Re-Evaporation
Indoor PRO³ models include a hot-gas re-evaporation pan beneath the compressor, which uses hot refrigerant gas to evaporate condensation naturally during normal operation.

The 3-Body Extra Wide is the bariatric-capable entry at the 3-body capacity tier, built for small-to-mid funeral homes, single-physician coroner offices, and crematories handling occasional-to-recurring bariatric cases without committing to a walk-in. Step down to the 2-Body Extra Wide. Step up to the 4-Body Extra Wide or the side-loading 3-Body Extra-Wide Side-Load.
Weight per tier: rated at 850 lbs maximum per storage tier — the full bariatric case envelope with room to spare, covering body weight plus tray, board, and handling equipment. The standard 3-body upright is rated at 600 lbs per tier; the extra-wide is the right call whenever cases exceed 500 lbs on a recurring basis.
