This Warranty Policy is part of and incorporated into the Terms of Purchase (TC-1.5). By placing an order with American Mortuary Coolers or its family of brands (AMC, USPE, AME, TITAN, MOBI, FS1), you (“Customer”) agree to this policy.
(a) AMC Mortuary Cooler Panels — 15-Year Structural Warranty. All American Mortuary Coolers insulated cooler panels carry a 15-year warranty against structural defects in materials and workmanship (including panel delamination and foam-core failure). This coverage is structural only and excludes cosmetic wear, finish, gaskets, hardware, and any damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or conditions outside §4.
(b) Refrigeration Systems & Components — Manufacturer Parts Warranty (Pass-Through). All refrigeration systems and components carry the standard included parts warranty of their manufacturer — Heatcraft, Bohn, or Turbo Air — under that manufacturer’s published warranty terms, duration, and claim process. AMC facilitates these claims, but the manufacturer’s terms govern. Compressors and sealed systems follow the manufacturer’s separate terms where applicable. Refrigeration systems remain non-returnable (Terms §2A); warranty is the exclusive remedy for a covered defect.
(c) Cots, Lifts, Tables, Racks & All Other Equipment — 1-Year Parts-Only Warranty. All mortuary cots, lifts, tables, racks, rails, hardware, and other equipment carry a one (1) year warranty covering replacement parts only, measured from the date of delivery.
Where coverage is “parts only,” AMC provides the replacement part for a covered defect. Labor, diagnostic time, travel, on-site service, removal and reinstallation, and freight are NOT covered and are the Customer’s responsibility unless separately purchased under an extended plan. Not covered under any warranty: normal wear; gaskets, filters, and consumables; cosmetic damage; damage from improper site preparation, installation, electrical supply, or drainage; unauthorized service or modification; misuse, accident, neglect, power irregularity, acts of God; or operation outside rated conditions (see Terms §18).
Extended and enhanced warranty coverage — including longer parts terms and labor-inclusive plans on select equipment — is available for purchase. To discuss extended warranty options and pricing, contact AMC at 1-888-792-9315 before or at the time of purchase. Any extended coverage is governed by its own written terms and does not modify this policy unless stated in a writing signed by an AMC officer (Terms §11).
All warranty service must be authorized in advance through an AMC-issued Service Ticket number. Contact AMC at 1-888-792-9315 or open a ticket at mymortuarycooler.com/pages/service before any work is performed. Unauthorized repairs, parts, or labor are not reimbursable and may void coverage (Terms §2C and §18). Customer must allow AMC a reasonable opportunity to inspect and remedy before pursuing any other remedy.
Repair or replacement of a defective part is the Customer’s SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AMC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including loss of use, downtime, spoilage, business interruption, loss of remains-storage capacity, or any other loss arising from a product’s failure to function. If a unit fails, AMC’s responsibility is limited to warranty service as stated above, and AMC’s total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product at issue (Terms §7). Customer assumes responsibility for maintaining appropriate backup and contingency arrangements for critical storage.
Except for the express warranties stated in this policy, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, AMC disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. All products are sold for commercial and professional use. Where a jurisdiction does not permit such a disclaimer, any implied warranty is limited to the shortest duration and least extent permitted by law.
If a product fails or a warranty issue arises, Customer agrees to contact AMC at 1-888-792-9315 and allow AMC to remedy the issue under this policy before initiating any chargeback, dispute, or payment reversal. A product failure — whether or not covered by warranty — is resolved under this Warranty Policy and the Terms of Purchase and is not a valid basis for a chargeback (Terms §5). AMC is not responsible for any loss, downtime, or damages caused by a non-functioning unit; Customer’s remedy is limited to warranty service.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Regardless of where Customer is located, venue lies exclusively in Washington County, Tennessee — including the General Sessions Court of Washington County, Tennessee — as provided in §6 of the Terms of Purchase.
