As of January 1, 2026. All terms on this page and every linked policy are subject to change without prior written notice.
These Terms and Conditions apply to use of this website, quote requests, product purchases, custom orders, freight coordination, financing references, service requests, procurement communications, and related transactions with American Mortuary Coolers and Funeral Source One.
By accessing or using this website, submitting a form, requesting a quote, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to every policy listed in the Complete Terms of Sale & Policy Library below.
By using this website, submitting a form, requesting a quote, placing an order, applying for financing, or communicating with American Mortuary Coolers, the user agrees to follow these Terms and Conditions, all posted policies, and any written terms included with quotes, invoices, order confirmations, financing documents, freight documents, service communications, or manufacturer documentation.
All pricing, specifications, promotions, lead times, freight estimates, product descriptions, product availability, custom build details, and financing references are subject to change without prior written notice. A written quote or invoice may include additional terms that control the specific order.
Customer is responsible for confirming product size, door clearance, electrical requirements, plumbing requirements, drain requirements, site access, freight delivery needs, local code requirements, state board expectations, and installation obligations before purchase.
Many products ship by freight carrier. Customer must inspect shipments at delivery, follow carrier rules, note visible damage on the delivery receipt, photograph concerns, and report issues promptly. American Mortuary Coolers may coordinate third-party freight as a service, but carrier claims and delivery rules remain subject to carrier policies.
AMC does not guarantee an exact delivery date under any circumstances. All lead times, ship dates, and delivery estimates are non-binding projections provided to the best of our ability and are affected by manufacturing scheduling, raw material and component availability, custom configuration, weather, carrier capacity, and other factors outside AMC's control. Time is not of the essence in any AMC purchase, quote, or order confirmation, and no lead time or delivery date is a guaranteed or contractual deadline unless expressly agreed to in a separate signed writing.
Expedited production and expedited shipping are available for an additional cost with prior written authorization from AMC. Call 1-888-792-9315 before ordering to request and confirm expedited service and pricing — see the Lead Times & Expedited Service Policy (LT-1.0).
Customer expressly waives and releases American Mortuary Coolers from any claim for lost business, lost calls, lost case volume, lost revenue, lost profits, reputational harm, cover costs, rental or loaner equipment costs, or any other indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from or related to a delay in production, shipping, freight transit, delivery, installation, or startup, regardless of the cause of the delay and regardless of whether AMC was notified in advance that such damages were possible. This waiver applies whether the claim is framed in contract, warranty, negligence, or any other legal theory.
This waiver and liability cap apply in full even where the delay originates with AMC itself — including AMC's own production scheduling, factory workflow, staffing, quality control hold, order-processing error, or internal logistics — and not solely where the cause is a third-party carrier, supplier, or force majeure event. Whether AMC, a supplier, a carrier, weather, or any combination is the source of the delay, customer's remedy is limited exclusively to the delivery of the ordered equipment (or, at AMC's sole election, a refund of amounts paid for the undelivered portion of the order); no delay of any kind or origin gives rise to a claim for business interruption, lost calls, lost case volume, or any consequential damages.
Customer acknowledges that mortuary and morgue refrigeration is typically a planned facility investment, not an emergency purchase, and that customer bears sole responsibility for maintaining adequate backup, overflow, or contingency capacity (including rental units, DMORT/regional mutual-aid arrangements, or partner facilities) to bridge any gap between an order and its delivery. AMC's sole obligation with respect to delay is to use commercially reasonable efforts to communicate known schedule changes; AMC's total liability for any claim of any kind arising from an order, however caused, is capped at the amount actually paid for that order, per the Legal Venue and Terms Subject to Change provisions below, the Terms of Purchase (TC-1.6) §13A, and Warranty Policy.
American Mortuary Coolers delivers to commercial business locations only. Residential addresses are automatically routed to the nearest freight terminal. See full Commercial Delivery Only Policy.
Custom equipment, special-order products, built-to-order coolers, autopsy equipment, casework, export-packed items, and configured systems may have different cancellation, return, lead-time, deposit, and warranty terms. Confirm details in writing before ordering.
No returns under any circumstances. All refrigeration products purchased on or after January 1, 2026 are 100% non-returnable under any circumstances. All coolers, racks, lifts, and related equipment are non-returnable — no exceptions.
In the rare event American Mortuary Coolers elects, in its sole discretion and in writing, to honor a return in a special case, the return is subject to a 25% restocking fee, and all shipping charges — both the original outbound freight and the return freight — are the full responsibility of the original purchaser. No return is authorized without prior written approval. See the full Returns and Cancellations Policy.
Packaged refrigeration systems are manufactured by Heatcraft Refrigeration Products LLC; American Mortuary Coolers acts as an authorized dealer and product representative and does not manufacture these systems. Customers must completely read all startup instructions before operating any packaged refrigeration system. Drainage, condensate routing, P-trap preparation, code compliance, and site readiness are the responsibility of the purchaser and installer unless included in writing by AMC. Damage resulting from improper drainage, site conditions, or failure to follow the installation manual is not a product defect and is not a warranty claim. AMC accepts no liability for a customer's failure to properly start up packaged refrigeration units and is not responsible for loss or downtime under any circumstance. See the Packaged Refrigeration Manuals & Startup Guide.

Walk-in cooler panels and upright cooler cabinet skins are constructed of Class 1 polyurethane foam insulation, injected under pressure into formed molds during manufacturing. Residual foam flash, minor surface variation, or trace foam residue on panel edges and surfaces is a normal characteristic of this manufacturing process — not a defect. Foam residue does not merit discounting, return, refund, or credit of any kind.
You have up to 30 minutes from carrier arrival to thoroughly inspect every panel, crate, unit, and box before signing any delivery receipt or Bill of Lading. Check all surfaces, edges, corners, and refrigeration components while the driver is present. This is your only opportunity to document concerns with the carrier present. Acceptance at delivery is the single most critical step in the delivery process.
By signing the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading — or by accepting delivery in any form — you: (1) accept the shipment in the condition noted on the signed paperwork; (2) release the carrier and American Mortuary Coolers from all liability for any condition, damage, or deficiency that could have been identified during your inspection window; and (3) enter into a binding agreement that goods were received as stated on the signed documentation. Your signature on any shipping paperwork constitutes acceptance of these terms. There are no exceptions once paperwork is signed.
