Last Updated: June 11, 2026
Professional use only
Equipment sold by American Mortuary Equipment Company and American Mortuary Coolers is professional-grade equipment intended for installation, operation, and maintenance by trained personnel in funeral, medical, forensic, institutional, and laboratory settings. It is not consumer equipment.
Installation and operation
The purchaser and operating facility are responsible for: site preparation, structural support, electrical service, and drainage meeting the published specifications; installation by qualified trades in accordance with applicable building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical codes; operation within rated capacities, temperature ranges, and duty cycles; and routine maintenance as described in the product documentation. Refrigeration service must be performed by EPA Section 608 certified technicians; see our Warranty Disclaimer & Refrigerant Safety Notice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AME's total liability arising out of or related to any product is limited to the purchase price of that product. In no event shall AME be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of use, loss of revenue, spoilage, facility downtime, or claims by third parties — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case these limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
No professional advice
Content on this site, including sizing guides, compliance overviews, and planning articles, is general information for equipment selection. It is not legal, regulatory, engineering, or medical advice. Facilities are responsible for confirming compliance with the statutes, health codes, and accreditation standards applicable to their jurisdiction and operations.
Indemnification
The purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold AME harmless from claims arising out of misuse, modification, improper installation, failure to maintain, or operation of equipment outside its published specifications.
Governing terms
This disclaimer is incorporated into and governed by our Terms and Conditions. Warranty coverage and exclusions are stated in the applicable product warranty documents.
