Print it, post it at the cooler, and log every quarterly and annual inspection — dated, printed name, and signed.

The Inspection Checklist — Quarterly (Compressor Annually)

1. Door seals & gaskets: inspect for cracks, tears, hardening, or brittleness; keep gaskets clean and debris-free; test the seal by closing the door on a dollar bill — you should feel resistance; replace damaged or worn gaskets — proper seals ensure temperature stability and energy efficiency. 2. Door handles & hardware: inspect and tighten handles, hinges, and latches; handles must operate smoothly and latch securely; check for loose hardware or wear; lubricate hinges and latches as recommended. 3. Casters & brakes: inspect wheels for cracks, chips, flat spots, or debris; confirm smooth roll; inspect brake engagement and release; tighten mounting bolts. Casters and racking are warranted 5 years from purchase. 4. Interior shelving (on rails): inspect for cleanliness, corrosion, or damage; shelves must slide smoothly on rails; check rails for alignment, damage, or debris; tighten rail hardware and shelf stops. Shelving and rails — 5 years. 5. Roller rack inserts: fully inspect for smooth operation; check rollers for wear, damage, or corrosion; confirm rack stops and guides function; clean and lubricate moving parts. Roller rack inserts — 5 years. 6. Compressor — annual inspection: fully inspect at least once annually; check for unusual noise, vibration, or excessive heat; inspect electrical connections for tightness; confirm the compressor is securely mounted. Compressor is warranted 1 year from purchase (manufacturer parts only). 7. Compressor drain: inspect the drain port and attached hose; hose must be clear, securely attached, and draining properly; flush the drain line if needed; verify no kinks or blockages — proper drainage prevents water buildup and system issues. 8. Interior components: inspect all interior gaskets, corners, and seams; check interior light function; inspect the evaporator coil area for frost buildup or debris; confirm fans are operational and unobstructed. 9. Temperature & performance: verify temperature accuracy with a calibrated thermometer; ensure the set point is appropriate and stable; check door operation and seal after temperature stabilizes; review the alarm system (if equipped) — consistent temperatures protect decedents and reduce risk. 10. Cleaning & sanitation: clean and disinfect interior and exterior surfaces; use approved stainless cleaners and disinfectants; avoid harsh chemicals that damage finishes or gaskets; wipe door seals, handles, and touch points. 11. Electrical & alarms: inspect the power cord and plug for damage; the outlet must be dedicated and properly grounded; test the alarm system, battery backup (if equipped), and notifications; replace batteries as needed — reliable alarms and power protect your facility and compliance.

Environmental Guidelines

Never store an upright cooler in a garage or walk-in cooler environment. Maintain clearance around ventilation openings, keep the cooler on a level, stable surface, and keep the room clean, dry, and well-ventilated — the proper environment protects your investment and ensures reliability.

REMOVE FROM SERVICE — mandatory stop-use safety mark

⛔ REMOVE FROM SERVICE — MANDATORY

Remove the cooler from service immediately if any of the following are present: temperature out of range and not recovering • door seals damaged or not sealing • compressor failure or refrigerant leak • electrical faults or sparking • structural damage or instability • excessive frost or moisture buildup • unsafe or unsanitary conditions. Do not return to service until repairs are completed and verified safe by qualified personnel.

The purchasing facility is solely responsible for inspection, removal from service, and operator safety; continued use of damaged or failed equipment constitutes misuse at the facility's own risk, voids applicable warranty coverage under WR-1.0, and falls under the assumption-of-risk terms of our Product Liability, Assumption of Risk & Release and the stop-use conditions in TP-1.0. Refrigerant work requires EPA §608-certified technicians — see SY-1.0.

⭕ WARRANTY COMPLIANCE — PARTS ONLY. NO LABOR UNLESS SPECIFIED.

Compressor: 1 year from date of purchase (manufacturer parts only). Caster wheels & racking: 5 years from date of purchase (parts only). Structure (cooler cabinet): 10 years limited from date of purchase under normal conditions (parts only).

All warranties are parts only — no labor unless otherwise specified in writing by American Mortuary Coolers; any labor services are provided exclusively at AMC's discretion. You must perform quarterly safety and required checks for the warranty period (compressor: full inspection at least annually). Full, dated, fully verified inspection records — signed by the authorized person conducting each check, with facility name, model/serial, and date in service — must be maintained and produced for any warranty claim. Failure to perform required maintenance or maintain records voids warranty coverage. Full terms: Warranty Policy (WR-1.0).
