The 14′ × 16′ walk-in mortuary freezer is a 224 sq ft box built from 4.75″ urethane panels rated R-32. Painted 26-gauge steel skins, chrome-plated door hardware and NSF-, UL- and ETL-listed construction make it a commercial-grade freezer built for continuous low-temperature service.

Site requirements

• A solid, flat, level supporting floor (the insulated floor is not a leveling system)
• At least 2″ of clearance around the box

Description of materials supplied

This walk-in is supplied as a complete insulated panel box with refrigeration equipment. The following materials are included in the price:

1. Wall panels. 4.75″ foamed-in-place urethane, R-32 wall panels with painted 26-gauge steel skins inside and out, tongue-and-groove edges and cam-action locks for airtight joints, sized for the 14′ × 16′ box.
2. Ceiling panels. 4.75″ foamed-in-place urethane, R-32 ceiling panels of the same painted 26-gauge steel construction, cam-locked to the wall panels.
3. Door. One 36″ × 76″ flush-mounted, self-closing door with a standard heavy-duty, non-lockable door handle, chrome-plated hinges, perimeter gasket seal, roller-magnet door closer and interior safety release.
4. Insulated floor. 4.75″ R-32 insulated floor panels, included as standard on freezers.
5. Refrigeration system. One remote two-piece refrigeration system: condensing unit and evaporator coil. The system is DOE-compliant, energy-efficient and designed for A2L refrigerant. Equipment only.
6. Documentation. Panel layout and assembly instructions.

Not included, by others

• Refrigerant (Freon) and the system charge
• Refrigeration line sets, fittings and line insulation
• Electrical wiring, conduit, disconnects and breakers
• Condensate drain line and drain piping
• Installation labor, installation materials and supplies
• Refrigerant leak detection where required by code for A2L systems

LED lighting, ramps and other accessories are optional and are supplied only when listed on your order.

Floor requirements

The insulated R-32 floor is included and is not a leveling system. The supporting floor must be solid, flat and level with no imperfections. For second-story, mezzanine or other above-grade installations, have the structural load confirmed by a qualified professional before ordering.

Refrigeration scope

The remote two-piece refrigeration system is supplied as equipment only. Refrigerant, line sets, wiring, drain and installation materials are not included. A licensed refrigeration contractor installs, evacuates, charges and starts up the system according to local codes and the A2L safety requirements that apply to your site. Panels meet the DOE minimum insulation requirements for walk-in freezers (R-32) under 10 CFR 431.306.
