California Proposition 65 Notice

DOCUMENT P65-1.0 • EFFECTIVE JULY 4, 2026

⚠ WARNING: Some products sold by American Mortuary Coolers can expose you to chemicals — which may include nickel and chromium compounds (present in stainless steel welding and fabrication), lead (in certain brass fittings, electrical components, and solder), and chemicals released by foam insulation or refrigerants — which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

Why This Notice Appears

California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (“Proposition 65”) requires businesses to warn Californians about significant exposures to listed chemicals. The presence of this warning does not mean a product is unsafe or violates any product-safety standard — the Prop 65 list contains over 900 chemicals and the warning threshold is often far below federal action levels. It means one or more listed chemicals may be present in the product, its components, or emissions in an amount requiring a California warning.

Which Products

This notice applies to products shipped to California, including stainless steel fabrications (tables, racks, casework), refrigeration equipment and components, brass and electrical fittings, and foam-insulated panels. Commercial equipment should always be installed and operated per its manual, in ventilated spaces, by qualified professionals.
