What is the difference between scissor lift and column lift?

Where are mortuary lifts used?
Prep room (cot → embalming table), visitation positioning, loading dock (casket → vehicle), morgue (cooler → autopsy table), crematory retort loading. Most funeral homes have at least one general lift plus a crematory loader if on-site.
