DuPont™ Tychem® 10000 TK612T Level A Suit, Certified to NFPA 1994 Class 2

$3,001.95

DuPont™ Tychem® 10000 TK612T Level A Suit, Certified to NFPA 1994 Class 2: questions and answers

What is a Level A suit?

Under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 Appendix B, Level A is the highest level of protection for skin, eyes and the respiratory system: a totally encapsulating chemical-protective suit worn with positive-pressure SCBA, inner and outer chemical-resistant gloves and chemical-resistant boots.

Front or rear entry?

Both use the same suit fabric, visor and gloves. Front entry lets the wearer don and doff with less help; rear entry places the closure behind the wearer, away from the work zone. Choose to match your team's training and SOPs.

Is it tested before it ships?

Each suit carries a unique serial number and is pressure tested at manufacture per ASTM F1052. Inspect and pressure test again before use per the manufacturer's instructions.

Who uses Level A suits in death care?

Medical examiner, coroner and disaster mortuary teams that recover or process remains contaminated with unknown or highly toxic chemicals, and agencies that stage mass fatality response for chemical incidents.

What does NFPA 1994 certification add?

Third-party certification that the full ensemble meets NFPA requirements for responders to hazardous materials and CBRN terrorism incidents. Agencies that purchase with homeland security or emergency management funds often require it.
