What makes this an embalming coverall?
The polyethylene coating turns a breathable spunbond fabric into a non-linting, liquid-repellent barrier. Blood, embalming fluid and wash water bead and run off instead of wicking through to scrubs, which is what the preparation room needs.
Is it impervious to formaldehyde?
The polyethylene film is impervious to water-based liquids and resists splash from diluted arterial and cavity fluids. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1048 requires clothing impervious to formaldehyde wherever skin contact with solutions of 1% or more is possible; for concentrated chemical handling or spill cleanup, step up to DuPont Tychem 2000 or 4000 and verify the chemical against the permeation data.
How many are in a case?
25 coveralls of one size per case. Mix sizes and styles across cases; every case counts toward quantity pricing.
Which size should I order?
Use the size guide by chest and height. Size up when wearing scrubs plus a cooling layer, or when you do a lot of reaching over the table.
Can I wear it more than once?
No. It is a single-use garment. Doff and discard after each case or whenever it is torn or contaminated, following your bloodborne pathogens exposure control plan.
