ℹ How Freight Charges Work in Your Build

When you configure your walk-in using the Build-It-Out configurator on any product page, your estimated freight charge appears in the itemized total summary based on your cooler's size tier. This freight is additional to the base unit price and all add-ons. Your itemized order total shows: Base Unit price + Selected add-ons + Freight charge = Estimated Total. ⚠ REMOTE-REGION SURCHARGE — +$495

Shipments to Montana, North Dakota, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, South Dakota, Northern Minnesota, or South Texas rural areas carry an automatic +$495 freight surcharge. Long-haul lanes and limited carrier density make this unavoidable.

Complete Freight + Installation Details

Service Level

  • Curbside commercial delivery: LTL or flatbed; palletized flat-pack crating.
  • Liftgate service: included for curb positioning only.
  • Inside delivery, set-in-place, installation: NOT included unless stated in written quote.
  • Unloading equipment: Buyer must provide forklift. Walk-in panels cannot be hand-unloaded. Missed unloads incur redelivery fees.

What's NOT Included

  • Refrigerant charge: NOT included; performed at install by EPA §608-certified tech.
  • Installation labor: NOT included unless quoted in writing.
  • Electrical work: NOT included; buyer provides 208–230V + low-voltage + 115V circuits per code.
  • Concrete pad: Buyer responsibility.

Delivery & Inspection Required

  • Schedule: Carrier contacts you; responsible adult must receive and sign.
  • Inspect before signing: Count pieces, note damage on receipt before signing.
  • Concealed damage: Per FC-1.0, unreported damage limits claim recovery.
  • Damage claims: Report within 48 hours with photos to cool@mymortuarycooler.com.

No Guaranteed Delivery Date; Expedited Service Available

AMC does not guarantee an exact delivery date. Transit times are estimates provided to the best of our ability and are not a binding deadline unless expressly agreed to in a separate document signed by an authorized officer of AMC — see Lead Times & Expedited Service (LT-1.0). Expedited production and expedited shipping are available for an additional cost with prior written authorization; call 1-888-792-9315 before ordering to confirm feasibility and pricing. AMC is not liable for delays, and redelivery fees are the buyer's responsibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AMC is not liable for lost business, lost calls, lost case volume, or any other consequential damages arising from a delay, regardless of cause, including where AMC's own production is the cause (Terms §13A).

Title & Liability

Risk and title pass to buyer upon curbside delivery per Terms of Purchase (TC-1.6). Buyer remains responsible for site readiness and unloading equipment.

Nominal Dimensions Disclosure (DM-1.0)

All AMC walk-in model names and footprint dimensions are nominal figures rounded to the nearest foot. Actual as-built panel runs measure slightly under nominal: 16′ nominal = 15′8″ actual; 10′ nominal ≈ 9′10″ (9.85′) actual. Interior usable space runs 8" under exterior on each axis due to 4" panel walls. Exact stamped as-built dimensions accompany every quote. Plan slabs and clearances from your quote's dimension sheet. Call 1-888-792-9315 before pouring concrete if clearance is tight. This applies site-wide to all AMC walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigerators.
