Efficiency & incentive planning
Check potential commercial energy incentives before ordering
Programs vary by equipment class, exact model, installation address, electric utility and project timing. Use these official resources to verify eligibility before purchase—rebates are not guaranteed and should not be deducted from the equipment price unless your program administrator approves the project.
Verify the equipment class
Current ENERGY STAR commercial refrigerator/freezer eligibility excludes walk-in coolers and freezers and remote condensing equipment. Do not assume a refrigeration system is ENERGY STAR certified unless the exact model appears in the applicable official product list.
Review ENERGY STAR eligibilityReview federal efficiency rules
The U.S. Department of Energy maintains the federal standards and test-procedure resources for covered walk-in cooler and freezer components. Application and compliance depend on the product and intended use.

State, local and utility incentives can change throughout the year. Search DSIRE by location, then confirm the model, project address, installer requirements and pre-approval deadline with the program administrator.
Search DSIRE incentivesSend us the installation ZIP code, utility provider and selected system. We can help you organize the equipment information your rebate administrator or contractor may request.
Are these refrigeration systems ENERGY STAR certified?
Not by default. The current ENERGY STAR commercial refrigerator/freezer criteria exclude walk-in coolers and freezers and remote condensing equipment. Certification should only be claimed when an exact model is listed by the applicable official program.
Could my project qualify for a state or utility rebate?
Possibly. Availability depends on the installation location, serving utility, equipment category, model specifications, contractor documentation and program dates. Check DSIRE and your utility before ordering, because some programs require pre-approval.
