The 2-Tier Cantilever Mortuary Rack gives a smaller funeral home, prep room or walk-in cooler two body positions in a frame just 29 7/8″ tall. It fits low ceilings, compact coolers and holding areas where a taller rack won't, and it uses the same 42″ × 32″ footprint, open loading face and welded, powder-coated steel frame as our 3-, 4- and 5-tier racks.

  • Two positions, open front: the arm reaches out from one side, so trays and boards load straight in with no front posts in the way.
  • Leveling feet or casters: choose leveling feet (Model# 2T-C-1) for a fixed position or four 6″ plate-mounted casters (Model# 2T-C-2) to roll the rack out for cleaning.
  • Works with a low-profile lift: the base level sits 7 1/2″ from the floor on leveling feet. Pair it with the TITAN 1030-LPL Low Profile Mortuary Lift.
  • Room to grow: add a 3-tier, 4-tier or 5-tier cantilever rack as your caseload grows.

The 2-Tier Cantilever Mortuary Rack, Model 2000-2TC, stores two decedents on stainless trays or laminated body boards. The arms extend from one side of a welded steel frame, so the loading face has no front posts in the way. Choose four 6″ casters (-C) or leveling feet (-L).

Dimensions

  • Footprint: 42″ wide × 32″ deep; 36″ between uprights; 32″ arms
  • Overall height: 29 7/8″ with leveling feet; on casters, the height is confirmed on your order drawing
  • Level heights with leveling feet: 7 1/2″ base and 26 1/4″ arm level, with 15 1/4″ clear between levels
  • Storage levels: 2 (base plus 1 arm level)
  • Uprights: 2″ side × 3″ face, welded steel, powder-coated
  • Casters: four 6″ plate-mounted casters (-C models)

Loading height notice

The base level sits close to the floor (7 1/2″ on leveling feet), below the lowest deck height of every AME lift. The TITAN 1030-LPL low-profile lift (13″ to 69″) is the only AME lift built for low-level work. The H1000-M manual scissor lift and the G1 lift do not meet the minimum loading height for most of our racks. Measure each level and confirm your lift before ordering. American Mortuary Equipment is not responsible for lift selection or ordering errors. See the Returns & Cancellations Policy (RC-1.0) and Terms of Purchase (TC-1.7).

Before you order

  • Cooler interior height clears the rack frame plus the evaporator, lights and door header.
  • Floor space for 42″ × 32″ per rack, plus a clear loading aisle in front of the arms.
  • Load the lowest levels first and keep the rack level. Cantilever racks can tip when the top is loaded first.
  • Trays, boards and lifts are sold separately. HD plastic storage boards are not weight-bearing and must not span the arms.

Ships unassembled. Warranty coverage is listed in the Warranty Policy (WR-1.0).

Rack warranty

American Mortuary Equipment mortuary racks are warranted part by part, with the longest term on the welded structure that carries each tier.

PartCoverage
Structural frame, including welds, joints and connections (bolts and rivets excluded)15-year limited structural warranty
Roller bearings5-year limited warranty
Powder-coat finish5-year limited finish warranty, with proper maintenance and care
Casters, bolts, rivets and other parts1-year limited warranty

Loads must stay within the rated capacity per tier. Clean painted surfaces with a mild detergent; chlorine bleach, solvents and abrasive pads void the finish warranty, and chips from impact are not covered. Minor cosmetic marks that do not affect fit or function are not defects. On stainless steel racks the welded stainless frame carries the same 15-year structural warranty, and surface scratches or discoloration are not covered.

Coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, starting on the date of delivery to the original end user unless a different start is stated above. It is not transferable, and freight to and from our facility is not covered. Claims are made in writing with the order number, photos and a short description; claim handling follows the Warranty Policy (WR-1.0).

Compare rack layouts and plan tray transfers

Compare the AME side-load roller rack for roller-deck storage, the USPE adjustable cantilever rack for tier and base choices, or the USPE truck rack with belts for an approved transport installation.

Match your mortuary lift to every usable tier, selected tray and rated load. Low rack positions can fall below a lift’s minimum transfer height. Compare trays and storage boards; barrier boards are not weight-bearing lifting supports. Custom rack sizes and build configurations are available by quotation.

Real product photos show representative configurations; confirm the selected leveling-foot or caster base before ordering.

2-Tier Cantilever Mortuary Rack: plan the fit before ordering

An affordable mortuary rack must fit the room and the transfer workflow. For the 2-Tier Cantilever Mortuary Rack, compare the listed number of tiers, loading direction, overall dimensions and rated load with the space and equipment already in use. Check the clearance needed to move trays or boards into position.

Coordinate the rack, trays and lifting equipment

Review the listed tray or board compatibility and confirm which components are included. Do not infer capacity or compatibility from tier count alone. Compare the selected configuration with the other mortuary racks and lifting equipment before choosing the storage layout.

For replacement racks or a phased facility project, request an itemized mortuary-rack quote with the model, quantity, loading requirements and delivery location. Separate current purchasing from future budget phases, and review the equipment price, freight, tax and any financing cost as distinct parts of the decision.

Flexible payment options, with clear terms

Review the payment methods offered at checkout for your order. If a payment plan is available, its options and eligibility are shown by the provider. The equipment price and any financing cost are separate; compare the full payment terms before choosing a plan.

Enter payment details only in checkout or the payment provider's application. Use general customer support for product and order questions, not for sending full card numbers or sensitive financing information.
