Block Brush Clean-Out Assembly from American Mortuary Equipment (AME). A steel block brush head with a replaceable wire brush block for heavy hearth clean-out. When the wire wears, swap in a 1030-BBR replacement brush instead of replacing the whole tool.
What tools are used to clean out a cremation chamber?
Operators use long-handled stoking tools and rakes to reposition remains during cremation, then strip and block brushes to sweep the hearth into the ash pan. Heads attach to the handle with a 1/2 in threaded or 3/4 in set screw coupling.
