Frequently asked questions

Which AMC mortuary refrigerators plug into a standard outlet?

The 2BX, 3B, 3BX and 4BX uprights and the 4-body 2-door cabinet run on 115V single-phase with a NEMA 5-20R receptacle on a dedicated 20-amp circuit. Vault coolers need 208–230V service.

Do vault morgue coolers include body trays?

No. Every chamber has full-extension tray rails, and stainless body trays are ordered separately in 23-, 27- or 30-inch widths.

What insulation do AMC walk-in mortuary coolers use?

Walk-in coolers use 4-inch foamed-in-place urethane panels rated R-25. Walk-in freezers use 4.75-inch panels rated R-32 and include an insulated floor.

Who installs remote refrigeration on a walk-in?

The remote system is supplied as equipment only. A licensed refrigeration contractor installs the line sets, charges the system and starts it up to local code and A2L requirements.
