What TLS does for your visit
Encryption
Helps hide data from third parties while it travels between endpoints.
Authentication
Uses digital certificates to help verify the server's identity.
Integrity
Helps detect altered or forged data in transit.

TLS protects data in transit, not every aspect of stored data or a business transaction. No security layer guarantees complete immunity from abuse.
