Vertical Mortuary Coolers

Vertical mortuary coolers stack bodies on tiers or in stacked vault bays to save floor space: 2 to 12 body vertical morgue coolers, factory direct.

Vertical Mortuary Coolers

A vertical mortuary cooler uses height instead of floor space. Bodies are stored one above another, either on tiers inside a single cabinet or in stacked vault bays with their own doors. A vertical cooler fits more positions into a small prep room or hospital suite than any other format.

Two kinds of vertical cooler

Tiered vertical cabinet

One cabinet with stacked roller tiers behind one or more doors. The most bodies per square foot, from 2 to 12 positions.

Vertical vault cooler

Stacked bays, each with its own door and slide-out tray. Each case stays separate, and only one bay opens at a time.

Planning vertical storage

Vertical storage depends on how staff reach the upper positions. A 3-body cabinet puts the top tier above waist height, and taller units need a lift. Measure ceiling height and the delivery path, and match a lift whose range covers both the lowest and highest tier.

  • Ceiling height above the cabinet for airflow
  • Lift height range covers every tier
  • Tray width fits your largest cases
  • Door swing clears the room
  • Dedicated outlet within reach
  • Floor level for the cabinet and the lift

Lifts that pair with vertical coolers: mortuary lift systems, crematory scissor lifts.
